Small communities such as Brimfield are reliant upon residents to fill many voluntary positions in order for the Town to function properly. The majority of Brimfield town boards and committees such as the Cultural Council, Memorial Day Committee, Recreation Committee, Historical Commission, Council on Aging, Senior Center Feasibility Study and Barrier Removal Committee, Cable TV Advisory Committee, and the Finance Committee is comprised of volunteers appointed by the Board of Selectmen. Individuals interested in serving on a particular board or committee are asked to contact the Selectmen's Office in writing of their interest. If no vacancy exists on the board or committee of interest at that time, your name will be placed on a waiting list for consideration when a position becomes available to fill.
Currently, vacancies exist on the Zoning Board of Appeals, the Brimfield Flea Market Advisory Board, Memorial Day Committee and Open Space Planning Committee (Community Development Plan project). If you are interested in serving, please contact the Selectmen's Office for further information.
