Pursuant to Governor Baker’s March 12, 2020 Order Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law, G.L. c. 30A, §18, and the Governor’s March 15, 2020 Order imposing strict limitation on the number of people that may gather in one place, this meeting of the Brimfield Conservation Commission will be conducted in person and via remote participation to the greatest extent possible. Specific information and the general guidelines for remote participation by members of the public and/or parties with a right and/or requirement to attend this meeting can be found below. An audio or video recording, transcript, or other comprehensive record of proceedings will be posted on the Town of Brimfield website as soon as possible after the meeting.

The Conservation Commission meeting will be held via a Zoom Meeting (Internet).

    1. 7:00 PM – NOI: DEP # 117-0399; 56 Champeaux Road – single family home development: The Commission will review a Notice of Intent (NOI) permit application submitted by Green Hill Engineering c/o Richard & Patricia Bamberger of Brimfield, MA to determine if the construction of a single family home, septic system, well and driveway at 56 Champeaux Road in Brimfield (Assessor’s Map 15-B-2.2) is subject to the MA Wetlands Protection Act (as amended). Approximately 355 square feet of permanent disturbance is proposed within Bordering Vegetated Wetlands associated with a perennial stream. 
    2. 7:00 PM – NOI: DEP # 117-0400; 275 Sturbridge Road – commercial retail store construction: The Commission will review a Notice of Intent (NOI) permit application submitted by Green Hill Engineering c/o Webber Road LLC of 275 Sturbridge Road in Brimfield, MA to determine if the demolition of an existing motel and construction of a retail store at 275 Sturbridge Road in Brimfield (Assessor’s Map 15-A-6) is subject to the MA Wetlands Protection Act (as amended). Approximately 9,100 square feet of permanent disturbance is proposed within the Riverfront Area to a perennial stream.  
    3. 7:00 PM – RDA: 78 First Street – repairs to stone wall on Bank of Little Alum Pond: The Commission will review a to review a Request for Determination of Applicability (RDA) permit application submitted by Mark Morisi of 95 Tedford Drive, Longmeadow, MA to determine if the proposed work to repair an existing stone wall on the Bank of Little Alum Pond at 78 First Street in Brimfield (Assessor’s Map 5C-A-53) is subject to the Wetlands Protection Act (as amended). The work is proposed within the Bank of Little Alum Pond.
