Meeting Notes- 12/3/20

Meeting was called to order at 6:05pm
- Historical Plaques: a motion was made by Bob to accept the bill from First Impression Signs and Graphics in the amount of $130 for two plaques we replaced for the first Church. Second by Mike and all present in favor. The plaques were presented to two members of the church, Ms. Kenyon and Ms. Brown, who expressed their appreciation on behalf of the church community and took possession of the markers in order to install them on the church.
- Anniversary Book: Mike reported that not much has happened since our last meeting as he had requested information from about 15 people or organizations, and has not heard back from everyone.
- Gazebo Project: Suzanne Collins and Bob met. Bob was advised against submitting a grant request to National Grid as the gazebo project does not meet their standards for grants this year. Donations will be discussed with Mike Doyle including a postcard campaign advising the town of our initiative and the financial needs for a walkway, lighting, and landscaping. We have approximately $30,000 from various sources and estimate a total project cost of $44,000. Discussed the need for a second opinion on the walkway. Questioned why ADA brickwork wouldn’t be acceptable.
