Part-time Police Officer

The Brimfield Police Department seeks qualified candidates for the position of Police Officer.

This job opening is for a part-time officer’s position. Successful candidates will be expected to work nights, holidays, and weekends. New hires must be prepared to work any of the three shifts and will be assigned on an as-needed basis with considerations for scheduling conflicts. All employees are expected to be available for the 3 times per year antique show.

Applicants must:

  • Be 21 years of age or older.
  • Have a valid driver’s license.
  • Possess, or be eligible for, a MA License to Carry.
  • Have graduated from a Reserve-Intermittent Police Academy AND have graduated from the MPTC Bridge Academy OR have graduated from a Full Time Police Academy.
  • Be a POST-Certified Police Officer.

Applicants will be processed through an oral interview, background check, psych evaluation, peer assessment, and a CORI check.

The starting salary is currently $26 per hour and with longevity the salary tops out at $30 per hour. Officers working the 12am to 8am shift receive a $2.00 per hour shift differential.
