Getting Married

Congratulations on your upcoming marriage!

If you are seeking an appointment for marriage intentions, email me at townclerk@brimfieldma.org with your names, planned date of marriage and contact information.  Both of you must be present when filing intentions. You will need the name and address of the person who is Officiating your ceremony.  If you are seeking a Justice of the Peace, you may contact me regarding information and availability.

Please be aware that all marriage licenses in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts have a 3 day waiting period.  At least one of  you will need to come back to pick up your license a minimum of 3 days after filing your intentions with me.  Keep in mind that the office is closed on Fridays. Please plan accordingly.

The Notice of Intention to Marriage is now a FILLABLE pdf file.  You may fill it out and print ahead of time.  You may print off and fill out (very neatly) in BLACK ink the remaining papers.  Or, you can fill them all out when you come for your appointment.  Please make sure that party A and party B are consistent on all forms.
